November 2002 - Well as far as progress into Brandon's case ... NOTHING has happened, it's over 4 and a half years since this whole mess first occurred and nobody has been caught yet or convicted. This is quite usual for South Africa with it's underpaid, overworked police force and a government who feeds crime. The people who shot my father have also not been caught yet ... in fact hardly any criminals get caught in South Africa, even when they are caught, they easily buy their way out of prison. My wife and I left South Africa in March 2002, we have had enough of the killing and violence in South Africa and the total lack of value for life. It is sad to have to leave your home land but we want to have our own family one day and South Africa is simply NOT the place to do it. Brandon's wife Colette and daughter Sinead also left South Africa in October 2002.

March 2001 - My father stopped on his way home to get some pizza at the local Pizza shop. While he was waiting for his pizza's, some bastards entered the pizza shop to rob it. Struggles ensued and my father got shot in his face. Yes ... SHOT IN THE FACE !!!! ... The bullet entered his face through the left cheek, went through his tongue, smashed out his lower right jaw bone, exited through his right cheek and ended up in his right shoulder where it was only discovered later. He was in intensive care "critical' for 13 days. He truly was a lucky man to have survived this event and we are so glad that another member was not taken away from us. I truly admire him that he can still face the world after being traumatised by having his son Brandon taken away and then having to deal with a near death experience himself.

Many people have sent condolences and words of thought to the family by using the Send Message button and we would really like to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts. Unfortunately we have had so many messages that we can't reply personally to all of them. However I am in the progress of compiling a mailing list of all those that did send messages to keep them informed of updates to this webpage and events in South Africa.

I have had a lot of requests from people that want to see how Sinead is growing up. Well she is absolutely gorgeous. She is now almost 5 years old and is growing up to be a beautiful little girl. She is also very clever ... too clever in fact. Her dad would have been proud of her. I will get some pics up here soon.
